About Lion Encounter

Lion Encounter Zambia operates the African Lion Rehabilitation & Release into the Wild Program in Livingstone and has fully funded both the stage one program, and now the first lion release area in the country.

About the Dambwa Pride

At the end of 2008 the African Lion Rehabilitation & Release into the Wild Program expanded from its base in Zimbabwe to Livingstone in Zambia.  The lions of this release pride were the first to take part in stage one of the program at the new Livingstone project site operated by Lion Encounter Zambia.

The pride consists of six females; Kela, Kwandi, Loma, Leya, Rusha and Temi.  A male will be joined to the pride at a later date.

This blog is the story of their lives….
